What is RSS?
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is a format that enables easy distribution and updating of headlines and blogs to personal Web pages, news readers, search engines, and authorized Web sites. An RSS reader is basically a specialized type of Web browser that regularly checks a list of Web sites that you specify and pulls in the newest content from those sites. How do I use RSS?
To use RSS, you must use a reader that will allow you to collect and display the various RSS feeds. There are several free RSS news readers available — just search “RSS reader“. The latest Internet Explorer and Safari Web browsers have RSS support built-in, and they will automatically sense the presence of our news feed and display an RSS icon in or near the address bar that you simply click to view and subscribe.
