Vincent W. Gardner, MD is a triple-board-certified surgeon specializing in cosmetic procedures and hair restoration. With over 20 years of surgical experience, he brings a depth of expertise, compassion, and innovation to our practice.
Dr. Gardner is board-certified in Cosmetic Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and General Surgery, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an honor held by only the most experienced and respected surgeons in the country. He earned his medical degree right here in Alabama at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

Since 2015, Dr. Gardner has been on the faculty of a nationally recognized cosmetic surgery fellowship program, training the next generation of cosmetic surgeons. He also serves as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. This means that other surgeons across the country rely on his expertise to determine their readiness for board certification.
His surgical background began in general and bariatric surgery, where he helped patients through major weight loss journeys. That’s why he has a particular passion for body contouring after massive weight loss, including procedures like skin excision, body lifts, and combination surgeries. He’s known for walking alongside his patients through multi-stage transformations — whether it’s after weight loss or a mommy makeover — helping them restore not just their bodies, but their confidence and self-worth.
Dr. Gardner also performs the full spectrum of cosmetic procedures — face, breast, and body — with an approach that is both conservative and detail-oriented. He believes in honest, thoughtful consultations and is deeply committed to listening to your goals, guiding you through every step of the process, and making sure you feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Dr. Gardner has been a featured speaker at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s annual meetings, and patients and colleagues alike describe him as attentive, thoughtful, and highly skilled.
Outside the OR, Dr. Gardner is a proud husband and father of two daughters, a fan of outdoor adventures, and loves to travel and meet new people — something that no doubt fuels his ability to connect with patients from all walks of life.

Background, Training & Certifications
- Dr. Gardner earned his B.S. in Biology at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
- He received his M.D. from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
- During his surgical residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, he was awarded the Outstanding Resident in Surgery (Hugh Linder Award) in his chief resident year.
- He later completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship with Southern Surgical Arts, specializing in facial and body aesthetic procedures.
- He is among the very few surgeons nationally to earn triple board certification (in Cosmetic, Facial Cosmetic, and General Surgery).
- His over 20 years of surgical experience include being a national educator and board examiner in cosmetic surgery.
