HydraFacial treatments are designed for all skin types. Anyone who’s hoping to improve the tone and texture of their skin can be a good candidate, even with the most sensitive of skin types easily tolerate a HydraFacial treatment. This gentle, non-irritating treatment can address a variety of skin concerns including fine lines, wrinkles, elasticity, firmness, uneven tone, skin texture, enlarged pores, oily and congested skin.

About HydraFacials
There are three main HydraFacial options, each designed to cater to a unique set of complexion issues:
- Signature HydraFacial (60 minutes + 15 minutes per add on): This treatment exfoliates, extracts and hydrates the skin, utilizing super serums filled with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid.
- Bye-Bye Blemishes HydraFacial (60 minutes + 15 minutes per add on): This HydraFacial option provides deep cleansing, exfoliation and extended extractions, combined with blue light therapy to help to remove debris from clogged pores.
- Deluxe HydraFacial (60 minutes + 15 minutes per add on): This invigorating treatment includes all of the essentials of the Signature HydraFacial while addressing additional concerns through age-correcting boosters and light therapy.
We are excited to offer Pro-Nox pain relief that can be added to any of the in-office procedures we perform. Pro-Nox is an inhaled analgesic that gives our patients 100% control through self-administration. Get short-term pain, anxiety, and stress relief without having to “go under.”

What to Expect
You can expect your HydraFacial to be an invigorating and relaxing experience, as this treatment is designed to be soothing, gentle and non-irritating. Depending on which option you choose, your facial can take up to 60 minutes to complete. Since this is a gentle, non-invasive treatment, you should be able to apply makeup and get right back to your normal daily activities right after your appointment.
Risks and Complications
While you may notice slight redness or skin tightness directly after your HydraFacial, these side effects are usually very mild and should resolve on their own over the next few hours. The risk of developing scars or other more permanent side effects after getting a HydraFacial is very minimal.
Your New Look
Most of our patients have reported seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. Many men and women notice smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. One treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, oily and congested skin. Continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain skin health results.
To maintain optimal results achieved with your HydraFacial treatments, your HydraFacial Specialist will recommend the use of a daily skin care regimen such as SkinMedica Everyday Essentials System or SkinMedica Award Winning System.

What's the difference between a HydraFacial and a traditional facial?
A traditional facial varies a lot by esthetician and often relies on manual extractions and steam. A HydraFacial uses a patented device that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and infuses serums in one standardized sequence.
Does a HydraFacial hurt?
No. In fact, most people describe HydraFacial as comfortable, and many find it relaxing. The extraction step feels like gentle suction, and some people notice a mild tingling from the serums. It shouldn’t be painful.
Is there any downtime?
No. You can return to work or your normal routine right after your appointment. Your skin may look slightly flushed for a short time, and many of our Fairhope, AL patients leave with an immediate glow.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with a clean face if you can, and skip retinol, exfoliating acids and waxing or hair removal on your face for a few days beforehand. Let us know about any new skincare products, medications or recent sun exposure or sunburn.
Can I wear makeup afterward?
Yes, but we generally suggest waiting a few hours so your skin can absorb the serums.
What should I do (and avoid) after a HydraFacial?
Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and daily SPF. For the first day or two, avoid strong exfoliants, retinoids and other harsh active ingredients, and limit heat exposure like saunas and hot yoga. Stay out of direct sun as much as you can.
Can I combine a HydraFacial with other treatments?
Often, yes. HydraFacial can pair well with treatments like chemical peels, microneedling or injectables, though we may recommend spacing them out.
Can a HydraFacial treat acne or acne scarring?
HydraFacial can help with mild to moderate breakouts by clearing congested pores, and the Bye-Bye Blemishes option adds blue light to target acne-causing bacteria. It won’t remove deeper acne scars, as those usually need more targeted treatments.
Is a HydraFacial safe if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Some serums and add-ons may not be recommended during pregnancy. Let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding at booking so we can customize the treatment and confirm what’s appropriate.
Can I get a HydraFacial if I've had BOTOX, fillers or laser treatments recently?
We usually recommend waiting about a week or two after BOTOX or fillers, and longer after laser resurfacing. Let us know about any recent skin treatments you’ve had so we can schedule your HydraFacial appropriately.
