Renuvion® J-Plasma Skin Tightening
For many people, loose skin as a result of weight loss or aging can impact their self-esteem. While common procedures such as a tummy tuck or an upper arm lift are possible, non-invasive surgical procedures aren’t for everyone. Eastern Shore Cosmetic Surgery is happy to announce a new, non-surgical option. We are the first office in Alabama to offer Renuvion® J-Plasma for skin tightening. This revolutionary, minimally invasive treatment provides advanced skin tightening without the need for invasive surgery, extended downtime, or surgical scars.
Are You a Candidate?
The best candidates are men and women looking to tighten and lift skin in areas of the stomach, arm, breast, butt, thighs and knees. Ideal candidates are looking for a non-invasive surgical alternative to procedures like a tummy tuck or arm and thigh lift to tighten loose and sagging skin.
Renuvion is a single treatment with minimal downtime, allowing you to achieve your desired look without having to take as much time away from your normal daily activities. You can experience tighter and renewed skin with only a tiny incision, little to no scarring, and minimal downtime.
What to Expect
General anesthesia is typically used during your Renuvion procedure to keep you comfortable. A small incision is created in the skin and the Renuvion device is put in place. At this point, the helium gas and radiofrequency create a precise stream of energy to generate heat.
After your procedure, you may experience mild swelling and bruising. Although recovery times vary, many people find they can resume normal activities within 2 to 3 days after their procedure. However, we recommend avoiding strenuous activity for 2 to 3 weeks as your results are still developing.

We are excited to offer Pro-Nox pain relief that can be added to any of the in-office procedures we perform. Pro-Nox is an inhaled analgesic that gives our patients 100% control through self-administration. Get short-term pain, anxiety, and stress relief without having to “go under.”
Renuvion Costs
Renuvion is a highly customized procedure and is often used alongside other procedures, such as liposuction, a thigh lift, an upper arm lift, or a tummy tuck. During your consultation, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that can help you meet your desired goals. If you opt for additional procedures along with your Renuvion procedure, we offer package pricing options that can help you save money.
Because no patient’s treatment plan is the same, your goals and individual treatment plan will determine your individual cost. Our Renuvion specialists will answer any pricing questions you may have during this consultation in order for you to better understand your individual treatment costs.

Risks and Complications
Renuvion is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat to tighten the skin. While this is a safe procedure and we do our best to make you comfortable, you may experience mild discomfort during the procedure. After your treatment, you may experience mild swelling and bruising. You may also experience skin tightness and mild discomfort, which can be treated with pain relief medications.
As with many cosmetic procedures, other risks can include bleeding, asymmetrical results, infection or changes in treatment area sensation.
Your New Look
Although individual results vary, many are able to see some initial results following the procedure. As you continue to heal and the swelling and bruising subside, you should experience more noticeable changes. Over the next 6 to 12 months, your body continues to produce new collagen, continuing to tighten skin and deliver a more youthful appearance.

Renuvion FAQ
What concerns can Renuvion address?
The Renuvion system is designed to tighten the skin on the body, making it firmer and younger-looking. For many people, Renuvion is an alternative to getting plastic surgery, such as a tummy tuck, thigh lift or skin removal, as it is less invasive.
Can Renuvion treatment be combined with plastic surgery?
While it is common to use Renuvion as an alternative to surgery, you might also want to use it to complement another surgical procedure where you are concerned about loose skin.
Can Renuvion treat the entire body?
Renuvion can treat the entire body or just focus on specific areas of concern. The system allows for precise treatment of small areas, but we can cover large portions, including the entire abdomen. Your concerns and wants guide how we apply the treatment.
What is recovery like after Renuvion treatment?
You will need to wear a compression garment for the first few days following your procedure. Patients tend to experience mild swelling, bruising and discomfort. However, these side effects should fade within 1 to 2 weeks. During this time, your body is healing from the inside out to tighten and firm up your skin. We may recommend taking it easy for the first day or two when your discomfort is at it’s highest.
Who is a good candidate for Renuvion treatment?
Anyone interested in improving their skin’s laxity without having to have major surgery could be a candidate for Renuvion treatment. However, not everyone is suited for it. The best way to determine if you are a candidate is to schedule a consultation.
Does Renuvion J-Plasma offer permanent results?
Renuvion is so effective at addressing loose skin that most of our patients only need one treatment. Your results will continue to develop over the next year, and you’ll be able to enjoy long-lasting results. Following a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a stable weight can support the longevity of your results. However, the effects of aging on your results may change your results over time.
Will I have scarring after my Renuvion treatment?
As with any incisions, there will most likely be scarring. However, these incisions are tiny and are made in the natural creases of your body. So the chances of them being easily noticed are very unlikely.
