Spider veins and vascular lesions (like red birthmarks) can be an embarrassing skin condition for many. Genetics can be a factor for both spider veins and vascular lesions, and some lifestyle factors may contribute as well. EVO Light laser treatments can effectively fade the redness associated with these common complexion concerns.

About Laser Vein & Vascular Lesion Treatment
At Eastern Shore Cosmetic Surgery, we use the EVO Light laser to remove unwanted spider veins and vascular lesions. Even after one treatment you should see improvement, but it usually takes a series of treatments to achieve the best results if you require a more significant level of correction. The number of treatments depends on the extent of your concerns.
We are excited to offer Pro-Nox pain relief that can be added to any of the in-office procedures we perform. Pro-Nox is an inhaled analgesic that gives our patients 100% control through self-administration. Get short-term pain, anxiety, and stress relief without having to “go under.”

What to Expect
The treatments can take up to an hour depending on the size of the area being treated. Patients may experience a slight stinging or discomfort that is quickly relieved by the cryogenic spray used by the machine to cool the skin.
You can experience some redness of the skin after treatment, which usually subsides after a few hours. You can resume your regular activities immediately after your treatment.
Risks and Complications
Generally there are few risks associated with laser treatments for spider veins or vascular lesions. Spider veins treated with the laser may remain dark in color for several weeks until the vessel shrinks completely.
Your New Look
You should see results after just one treatment, but in most cases patients will require several treatments for maximum improvement. New spider veins may appear over time and additional treatments may be needed.
