Microneedling
SkinPen® Microneedling
Over time, the amount of collagen that’s naturally present in our skin begins to diminish, which can give way to fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and other signs of aging. For anyone looking to improve the appearance of skin aging, acne scars, discoloration, uneven skin texture or stretch marks, SkinPen® microneedling can be used on its own or in combination with other therapies to achieve a smoother, more even and younger-looking complexion.
Eastern Shore Cosmetic Surgery offers a variety of nonsurgical skin rejuvenation services to help men and women in the Mobile-Pensacola metro area improve the tone and texture of their skin without extensive downtime.
Are You a Candidate?
Just about anyone who wants to address fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin texture and other common skin imperfections could be a good candidate for SkinPen microneedling.
However, men and women with active infections in surrounding areas may not be candidates for this treatment, as it does require the use of small needles in order to create tiny micro-channels within your skin, leaving you more susceptible to the spread of existing infection.

We are excited to offer Pro-Nox pain relief that can be added to any of the in-office procedures we perform. Pro-Nox is an inhaled analgesic that gives our patients 100% control through self-administration. Get short-term pain, anxiety, and stress relief without having to “go under.”
What to Expect
Depending on the size of the area being treated, each microneedling session usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Risks and Complications
Complications can arise from microneedling if you have an active infection at the time of your treatment. You might notice some common side effects such as redness and swelling for a few days after your procedure, but these symptoms typically diminish on their own as your skin continues to heal.
Your New Look
Most people see the best results after a series of microneedling treatments, although you might notice an improvement in your skin’s appearance after just a single session. Because microneedling procedure works by stimulating collagen renewal, your results should continue to develop over the next several weeks.
