Are You a Candidate?
Just about anyone who wants to address fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin texture and other common skin imperfections could be a good candidate for SkinPen microneedling.
However, men and women with active infections in surrounding areas may not be candidates for this treatment, as it does require the use of small needles in order to create tiny micro-channels within your skin, leaving you more susceptible to the spread of existing infection.
About SkinPen Microneedling
Also called collagen induction therapy, microneedling involves the use of a small handheld device called SkinPen to create many tiny micro-injuries within the treated skin. SkinPen Precision is the only Class II microneedling device that’s FDA cleared. Microneedling treatment triggers your skin’s own healing and collagen renewal processes, resulting in smoother, firmer and more youthful-looking skin over time.
Microneedling is not just limited to facial areas. It can also be used virtually anywhere on your body as well to help diminish the appearance of stretch marks, discoloration and sun damage.

What to Expect
Depending on the size of the area being treated, each microneedling session usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Risks and Complications
Complications can arise from microneedling if you have an active infection at the time of your treatment. You might notice some common side effects such as redness and swelling for a few days after your procedure, but these symptoms typically diminish on their own as your skin continues to heal.
