Numbness is another common sensation experienced in the area of treatment This happens because liposuction techniques disrupt the small nerve fibers that run through your fat layers to reach the skin.
In nearly all cases, this numbness is temporary. However, as these nerve fibers begin to heal, this numbness is replaced with tingling, which is why some people note tingling after liposuction, even months later. However, it is rarely concerning.
Bruising and swelling are also common after liposuction, and they bring with them their own sensations of soreness and stiffness. This tends to peak within 48 hours of the procedure and resolves in about 2 weeks.
